About Findlater's Fine Foods

Company History

Findlater’s Fine Foods started life as a Delicatessen & Restaurant on the High Street of Linlithgow back in 2004, supplying the highest quality food & drink from around the world. We sold our handmade Pate in the Restaurant and then in the Deli counter. This became such an overwhelming success that we had to build an offsite kitchen to cope with demand. After a while we started supplying some of our friend’s delicatessens and the rest, as they say, is history.

Award Winning Quality & Consistency

Our Pate is hand made by our chefs, in small batches, using the very best of ingredients to ensure our quality and consistency. We make without compromise with a flavour and texture that is unsurpassed.  Our Crunchy Carrot & Red Onion Pie with Dunsyre, won Gold Award at the Great Taste Awards in 2008. The following year our Dunsyre and Pressed Pear Pate went on to win Gold in 2009. Then, in 2010, another two Golds for our Roast Salmon Pate and our Venison Pate with Pancetta & Whisky.


Ingredient Sourcing

From Humphrey Errington’s Dunsyre Blue Cheese to Whitmuir Organics’ Beef, we use the finest ingredients to ensure our products are unique, balanced and cannot be compared to any other product in the market place. As much as possible, the ingredients are sourced from local producers and growers so that our recipes are made from the freshest produce available with the lowest food miles.

Gluten Free

In addition to being multiple Gold Award winning and uncompromisingly tasty, our Pate, Coleslaw and Houmous are Naturally Gluten Free and suitable for Coeliacs. We do not use cheap fillers or binders to bulk out our products as we believe to get the best quality food you should only use the best of ingredients. Simple! Vegetarian Options

At Findlater’s we believe that making bland and boring food is a crime. This is all too common with most vegetarian offerings. Fling in some Mushrooms with some Tofu, add too much salt then call it vegetarian.....not much thought going in to that............definitely vegetarian and definitely rubbish!
When we decided to create a vegetarian range we really pushed the boat out. Our vegetarian pie, Crunchy Carrot & Red Onion with Dunsyre, won Gold Award at the Great Taste Awards in 2008. The following year our Dunsyre and Pressed Pear Pate was the only vegetarian pate to win Gold in 2009. If you want to enhance your menu for a dinner party or spoil yourself anytime, problem solved, think Findlater’s Fine Foods every time!

Memberships

We are members of the Guild of Fine Food who represent the finest of the Producers and Fine Food Retailers throughout the UK. As Scotland Food & Drink members we endeavour to use the best of Scottish Ingredients and distribute our products far and wide. With the support of SF&D staff this has been an ongoing success with small Scottish Brands, like Findlater’s, now available to buy all over. Farmers Markets are a great way for small Artisan Producers to get their products out into the market place and that’s exactly how Findlater’s started, as members of the Scottish Association of Farmers Markets (SAFM) we attended markets in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Falkirk and from there our reputation for supplying the highest quality of food grew. As members of Coeliac UK you would think that we have to go out of our way to create food especially for Coeliacs........ we don’t! At Findlater’s we never compromise the quality of our recipes and ingredients to make them Gluten Free. Most of our products just happen to be naturally gluten free!
